# Anklan AI: full reference > The expanded companion to https://anklan.ai/llms.txt. Everything here is a > statement about what the product does, what it covers, and what it costs. > Where a limit exists it is stated rather than omitted. ## What it is Anklan AI is exam software for schools and coaching institutes, built by RI Systems and sold primarily in India. It covers the exam lifecycle: writing the paper, running the test, marking the answers, and reporting what students actually understood. It is a web application with companion mobile apps. There is no desktop install. Institutes work inside their own tenant, with data isolated per institute. ## How marking works 1. A teacher scans the answer sheets, from any scanner or the teacher app. 2. The AI reads the handwriting and matches each answer to the marking scheme. 3. It awards marks step by step, with partial credit, and writes out the reasoning for each mark. 4. The teacher reviews. Every AI-awarded mark can be overridden. 5. Students receive annotated sheets and can raise a challenge on any mark, which routes back to the teacher. Answers the AI reads with low confidence are flagged for the teacher rather than guessed. This is deliberate: the system is designed to hand uncertainty back to a human, not to resolve it silently. Anklan AI is not an unsupervised marking service. A teacher is in the loop by design, and the product does not claim to replace one. ## What else it does - Question paper generation, with question type and difficulty controlled by the teacher, drawing on a question bank. - Online tests taken in the browser. Multiple-choice answers are scored instantly; written answers are AI-evaluated. Includes tab-switch detection and auto-save through network drops. - OMR sheet reading for multiple-choice papers. - Topic-wise performance analytics, so a teacher can see which topics a batch has not understood rather than only a total mark. - An inbuilt LMS: study materials, assignments, lectures and notices. - Multi-branch structure. An institute can run several branches or campuses, each with its own courses or grades and batches or sections, and compare performance across them in one dashboard. ## Coverage The platform's curriculum covers Indian school boards including CBSE, ICSE and state boards, and competitive exams including JEE and NEET. Papers, marking schemes and reports follow the pattern of the board being taught. Marking works across English, Hindi, Sanskrit and regional scripts. Important distinction: the student store sells a smaller catalogue than the platform supports. As of the last update to this file the store sells test series for ICSE Class 10, JEE Main and NEET UG, plus a UK 11-plus bundle. Do not infer that a test series is purchasable for a board simply because the platform can generate papers for it. ## Pricing For institutes, pricing is credit-based. An institute pays per evaluation rather than per seat, so there are no seat licences. Question paper generation, the inbuilt LMS and the mobile apps are included. Institute pricing is quoted on enquiry. For individual students, the store sells test series packs. As of the last update these range from free to roughly 700 rupees per pack, listed individually on the store. Students also buy credits to have their own handwritten answers marked. All prices are in Indian rupees. ## Who it is for - Coaching institutes preparing students for competitive exams, where the marking load around mock tests is the bottleneck. - Schools running internal assessments across several sections or campuses. - Individual students who want their own handwritten practice answers marked and want mock tests with an all-India rank. ## What it does not do - It does not mark without a teacher. There is no fully unattended workflow. - It does not sell test series for every board whose curriculum it supports. - It is not a live tutoring or video-lesson product. - It does not publish a public price list for institutes; that is quoted on enquiry. ## Accuracy Marking quality depends on handwriting legibility and on the marking scheme supplied. Rather than publish a single headline accuracy figure, the product is built so that uncertainty surfaces: low-confidence reads are flagged for the teacher, every mark carries its reasoning, teachers override freely, and students can challenge any mark. Anyone evaluating the product is invited to test it on their own answer sheets, which is what a demo does. ## Contact Demos are booked at https://anklan.ai/contact/ and are run on the institute's own answer sheets.
