When you use our mobile app, we may also collect:

• Device identifiers and push-notification (FCM) tokens, used to deliver notifications about tests, results, assignments, and notices
• Photos and files you choose to capture or upload (for example, assignment submissions or answer sheets) using your device camera or storage
• App activity and diagnostic information to keep the app working reliably

4. Data Isolation & Security

AnklanAI employs PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure complete data isolation between institutes. Each institute can only access their own data. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+) for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• AnklanAI Proprietary AI Model — For OCR and answer evaluation
• Amazon S3 — For file storage
• Supabase — For authentication
• Google Analytics (GA4) — For website analytics

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your institute's account is active or as needed to provide our services. Answer sheets and evaluation data are retained for the academic year plus one additional year, after which they are permanently deleted upon request.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Export your data in a portable format

8. Children's & Students' Privacy

AnklanAI is provided to students through their educational institute, and some students may be minors. Student accounts are created and managed by the institute, which is responsible for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required under applicable law before enrolling a student. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without this involvement.

We use student data solely to deliver educational services — tests, results, assignments, attendance, study material, and notices. We do not use student data for advertising, and we do not sell it. A parent, guardian, or institute may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a student's data at any time using the contact details below. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
