What Anklan AI is, in plain terms
Anklan AI is exam software for schools and coaching institutes. It marks handwritten answer sheets with AI, generates question papers, runs online tests, and reports topic-wise performance. A teacher reviews and can override every mark the AI awards. It is built by RI Systems, sold mainly in India, and priced in credits per evaluation rather than per seat.
How the marking works
- A teacher scans the answer sheets, from any scanner or the teacher app.
- The AI reads the handwriting and matches each answer to the marking scheme.
- It awards marks step by step, with partial credit, and records the reasoning for each mark.
- The teacher reviews. Every AI-awarded mark can be overridden.
- Students get annotated sheets and can raise a challenge on any mark, which routes back to the teacher.
Answers the AI reads with low confidence are flagged for the teacher rather than guessed. Uncertainty is handed back to a person by design.

- Generates question papers, with question type and difficulty set by the teacher.
- Runs online tests in the browser, scoring multiple-choice answers instantly and AI-evaluating written ones, with tab-switch detection and auto-save through network drops.
- Reads OMR sheets for multiple-choice papers.
- Reports topic-wise performance, so a teacher sees which topics a batch has not understood rather than only a total mark.
- Includes an LMS: study materials, assignments, lectures and notices.
- Supports multiple branches, each with its own courses and batches, comparable in one dashboard.
- Runs on the web, with companion mobile apps for teachers and students. There is no desktop install.
Which boards and exams it covers
The platform curriculum covers Indian school boards including CBSE, ICSE and state boards, and competitive exams including JEE and NEET. Papers, marking schemes and reports follow the pattern of the board being taught. Marking works across English, Hindi, Sanskrit and regional scripts.
One distinction matters. The student store sells a smaller catalogue than the platform supports: test series for ICSE Class 10, JEE Main and NEET UG, plus a UK 11-plus bundle. A board being supported by the platform does not mean a test series is on sale for it.
What it costs
- Institutes pay per evaluation in credits, not per seat, so there are no seat licences. Paper generation, the LMS and the mobile apps are included. Institute pricing is quoted on enquiry.
- Students buy test series packs individually from the store, ranging from free to about 700 rupees, and buy credits to have their own handwritten answers marked.
- All prices are in Indian rupees.
What it does not do
- It does not mark without a teacher. There is no fully unattended workflow.
- It does not sell test series for every board whose curriculum it supports.
- It is not a live tutoring or video-lesson product.
- It does not publish a public price list for institutes.
On accuracy
Marking quality depends on how legible the handwriting is and on the marking scheme supplied, so no single headline accuracy figure is published here. Instead the product is built so that uncertainty surfaces: low-confidence reads are flagged for the teacher, every mark carries its reasoning, teachers override freely, and students can challenge any mark.
